The Cut

In Fatih Akin’s monumental epic chronicling one man’s experience of the Armenian genocide and its aftermath, Nazaret Manoogian (Rahim) is spared from execution by an Ottoman soldier. Nazaret henceforth ceases to speak, and spends the rest of his life trying to find his twin daughters in the hopes that they may still be alive, ending up in the United States as he travels to the town of Ruso, North Dakota.
